Indo House
Indo House sits on the water in Great Cruz Bay, five minutes from the Cruz Bay ferry. It is 4,500 square feet on two floors, with floor-to-ceiling glass on the water side and hand-woven bamboo ceilings overhead. The doors on the main floor open the living room onto the pool deck, so most of the time the house is neither inside nor out.
The four bedrooms are upstairs, all ensuite and all facing the water: a king in the main suite and queens in the other three. There are four full bathrooms up and a half bath down. The kitchen has Viking appliances and a wine fridge. There is Sonos through the house, central AC in every room, smart TVs with streaming and fast Wi-Fi.
We manage the house ourselves, with a property director on the island. Housekeeping, a concierge and someone to meet you at the ferry dock are included. Access to the Westin's private beach and facilities comes with the house. Dogs are welcome with our approval. Check-in is 4 pm and check-out 10 am, any day of the week.

A sheltered bay on the south side of St. John, 5 minutes by car from Cruz Bay and the ferry. The Westin sits at its head, so the beach has chairs and a lifeguard, and most of the houses on the hill above face the water. Quiet at night; you will want a car.

First, we just want to say, we truly had an incredible experience at Indo House. What a beautiful property, but more than that, it was an instant oasis of beauty, relaxation and luxury. It was the perfect blend of class and relaxation for the adults with the slide-away glass doors to open up the space, the perfect view of the bay, beautiful furniture/decor, beautiful stemware and bar accessories with an equal amount of fun for the kids with the pool and beach. We wanted to spend time there more than anything else! We went out for activities on the island and on other islands, but the best memories were made at Indo House. We were there with one other family. We had 5 kids total with us. They had the best time. It was perfect to be able to watch them in the pool or playing in the sand while we were right there on the porch, sitting at the dining table or even in the kitchen. Everything is open and we had the perfect view of the sunset every evening. The bay was equally as beautiful as a backdrop each day. Every room was pure luxury. Beds were comfy. AC and ceiling fans kept everything cool. The rooms had a gorgeous view. The 4th room didn’t have a balcony so it was perfect for our kids. We didn’t have to worry about them! That really made a difference for us. Speaking of balconies, the master walk out is huge with the perfect view. You can drink coffee in the mornings, do a little yoga and drink wine in the evenings. It’s the perfect spot. The management and owners are absolutely incredible. Kate gave us advice upon arrival about shuttle service, car rentals, ferry info…anything we needed to know. Allison was always available and very accommodating if we had questions or needed anything while there. We had access to parking in town. That was a game changer! We had everything we needed in the kitchen and around the house. We ordered a few things from the grocery store to be delivered and hired a private chef to come out a few times! Highly recommend that! When we arrived they had charcuterie and bubbles waiting for us which was the perfect touch after a long day of travel. Truly such an incredible experience. My recent stay at Indo House in November was an unforgettable experience. The villa was beyond beautiful coupled with the amazing views, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the island. As a lover of interior design, I was immediately charmed by the modern Indonesian-style architecture. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, each featuring modern amenities and stylish decor that made us feel like royalty. The ensuite private bathrooms have amazing rain showers, and with the windows open you can hear all the natural sounds of the island. The outdoor spaces were also amazing - from private balconies that offer breathtaking views to lush gardens providing plenty of privacy. Kate, the property manager, and the rest of the Indo House staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. They arranged for the most tranquil private in-house massage service. I cannot recommend getting a massage from the master suites balcony enough. Indo House also offers their villa boat for private charter and airport water taxi transport. We chartered the boat for a day, which was an unforgettable way to explore the island. Riley, the boat captain, made our day one to remember. The private water taxi from the villa to Crown Bay (5 minute taxi to airport) made departing the island a stress free experience. This villa is a hidden gem and offers so much more than just your typical luxury vacation rental experience. You can tell Beau, the owner, put great time and effort in creating the perfect backdrop for relaxation and fun with friends and family. My friends and I had the pleasure of experiencing true island hospitality while enjoying the peaceful simplicity it has to offer. We didn’t want to leave- I will definitely be coming back here soon!
We loved Indo House. The Great Cruz Bay Area is a great location. Close to Cruz Bay. You can walk the neighborhood (it is very hilly). The property is immaculate. Allison was super attentive to our needs. She helped with everything from reservations, boat charters, arranging taxis & provisioning. We have been to the island many times and are super familiar with the area but it was nice to let Allison schedule everything for us. We would highly recommend!!!
