The clinic on St. John and emergency care
In an emergency, call 911. VITEMA's 911 center also takes a text to 911 from anyone who cannot safely make a voice call. The Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Center is the island's emergency room, with 24-hour emergency services and outpatient clinics Monday through Friday, per Schneider Regional Medical Center on its site as archived in October 2025. A patient who needs a hospital goes to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital on St. Thomas on the Star of Life ambulance boat, a crossing the same page puts at fifteen minutes.
A replacement clinic should be finished in 2029, the hospital redevelopment team told the territory's hospital board on September 30, 2026, the St. Thomas Source reported. Cruz Bay Family Practice, on the third floor of The Marketplace, sees walk-in and urgent patients by priority, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, as of October 2026.
Booking a private chef, massage or photographer
For massage, a house call costs more than the studio. Crandall Massage, whose studio is in Mongoose Junction, lists a 60-minute Swedish massage at $155 in the studio and $190 in a villa; Mango Bliss Spa adds a 20 percent service charge to anything done in-villa, as of October 2026.
St. John Catering and Mathayom Private Chefs cook in the villa from $165 to $219 a person, with a $750 minimum, or drop off a finished meal from $75 a person, as of October 2026. Oasis Private Chefs, Chef Shaibu's company, publishes no prices and also runs the grab-and-go counter at The Marketplace.
The tradeoff: no hospital, and weekday doctors
Anything beyond the clinic means a boat to St. Thomas. Its outpatient clinics and the family practice keep weekday hours only. No St. John pharmacy could be confirmed on its own site or by a dated authority as of October 2026, so pack prescriptions for the whole stay and ask the clinic or your host where to fill one.
Babysitting and concierge services are not listed. We found no St. John sitter, agency or concierge with a site of its own to check against, so ask your host whether they know one.
