Virgin Gorda restaurants and bars

On Virgin Gorda the restaurants gather at the two ends of the island, and the end you stay at sets the evening. The south has the ferry, the Baths and beach tables in Spanish Town; North Sound, at the top, has Saba Rock and Bitter End, reached only by their own boats. One ridge road joins them.

Virgin Gorda dining from Spanish Town to North Sound

Dinner in the south is on the beach in Spanish Town, and in the north it is across the water in North Sound. The south end is the ferry and the Baths. CocoMaya sits on the beach in Spanish Town among the granite boulders, facing west across the Sir Francis Drake Channel toward the sunset, and serves Asian and Latin plates for sharing from mid-afternoon. Top of the Baths, beside the lot where the trail down begins, serves breakfast and lunch by its pool and closes at six, so it is the meal before or after the boulders, never dinner. Sugarcane, above Nail Bay, is the dinner on the hill between the two ends, closed early in the week.

The north end is North Sound. Saba Rock serves from breakfast to dinner on its own small island, and Bitter End's Clubhouse, built in 1969 by its own history, keeps three meals a day and recommends a booking. Leverick Bay is the one place on the sound the road reaches, with Jumbies on the beach and the upstairs restaurant above it.

How do you reach the North Sound restaurants?

By boat, for most of them. Saba Rock and Bitter End sit across the water from the Gun Creek dock with no road to either, and each runs its own launch from there, as their getting-here pages describe. Gun Creek is just past Leverick Bay, at the end of the road over Gorda Peak.

That makes a North Sound dinner a commitment from the south: a drive over the ridge, a boat across, and the same again after dark. A house on the sound has those kitchens close and the Baths a long drive away, so it eats in the north and goes south by day.

The tradeoff: a short week in the fall

The island's kitchens keep a shorter week in the fall. Each fall The Restaurant at Leverick Bay closes for a few weeks, and CocoMaya opens fewer days out of season. Sugarcane is closed every Monday and Tuesday. On Fridays in season Jumbies closes at 5 pm by the resort's page, because the beach becomes the Friday Night Beach BBQ, a buffet that needs a reservation. Through November, check the kitchen's own page the week you go, and call before a drive over the ridge.

Questions about Virgin Gorda restaurants and bars

Where to eat on Virgin Gorda?

Pick the end of the island first. In the south, CocoMaya on the beach in Spanish Town for dinner and Top of the Baths for lunch; in the north, Saba Rock and Bitter End's Clubhouse by their own boats, or Leverick Bay by road. Sugarcane at Nail Bay sits between them, as of October 2026.

Can you eat at the Baths on Virgin Gorda?

Yes, at the top. Top of the Baths, beside the lot where the trail starts, serves breakfast and lunch from 8 am to 6 pm every day, with a coffee bar Tuesday to Sunday, per its own site in October 2026. Eat before the walk down or after the climb back, since it closes at six.

How do you get to Saba Rock for dinner?

By its own launch from the Gun Creek dock, the way its getting-here page describes; there is no road. Gun Creek is 7 minutes past Leverick Bay by our measurement. Book the table on its site, where the restaurant lists 8 am to 9:30 pm daily as of October 2026.
